TikTok power couple Matt and Abby Howard are about to take their family to the next level they’re expecting their third child!
The beloved influencers, who have captured millions of hearts with their authentic content and real-life parenting moments, shared the exciting news on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in an exclusive with People.
“This Is Really Happening” Abby on Baby No. 3
Abby, 26, admitted that her third pregnancy has felt very different compared to her first two. “Lots of days I have to remind myself that I’m even pregnant and that this is really happening,” she said, reflecting on how surreal it feels.
For the couple, the joy is amplified because they now know the beauty and challenges of parenthood firsthand. “Going for our third baby is almost more exciting than ever because now we truly know just how good it is,” they shared.
Their oldest child, Griffin, 3, is especially invested in this new arrival he’s hoping for a baby sister. Meanwhile, their second son, August, 2, may soon find himself adjusting to life as a middle child.
Interestingly, Matt and Abby revealed that they don’t have a preference regarding the baby’s gender. For them, it’s simply about welcoming another little one into their family.
From High School Sweethearts to Parenting Influencers
Matt, 27, and Abby’s love story began long before TikTok fame. They started dating in high school and later tied the knot in 2019. Over the years, they’ve built an online community by sharing glimpses of their lives, from their relationship milestones to parenthood adventures.
But as their platform grew, so did their responsibilities not just as content creators but as parents in the digital age.
Why They Stopped Showing Their Kids’ Faces Online
In a July episode of their Two Parents & A podcast, Matt and Abby revealed a significant shift in how they share family content: they no longer show their children’s faces online.
“Initially, we did have our firstborn’s face online because we were like, ‘We’re going to continue doing everything we’ve been doing. We’ve been vlogging our life, we have a kid now and we’re still vlogging our life,’” Matt explained.
However, they soon realized the weight of creating a digital footprint for their kids before those kids could make that choice themselves. Abby described the decision as coming from an “abundance of protection,” while Matt admitted, “It’s crazy because we are truly in the wild west. Someone’s going to mess up out there… we don’t want to be those parents.”
For the Howards, it’s about drawing healthy boundaries. “We talk about them, we share them just not their faces,” Abby said. “We don’t want them to be a central part of our content or to be recognizable individually.”
She added: “We’d rather be safe than sorry. We chose for our lives to be public-facing. We want to give our sons the autonomy to make that choice for themselves down the line.”
Addressing Past Parenting Controversies
This isn’t the first time the Howards’ parenting decisions have sparked conversation. In September 2024, they faced backlash after an Instagram Story hinted that their sons had been left alone in their cruise ship room while Matt and Abby went to dinner.
The couple quickly shut down those rumors. “People started to speculate and believe that we had left our children alone in their staterooms and that is just completely untrue,” Matt clarified in a TikTok video.
He emphasized: “We had someone with our children at all times on this boat. Period.”
This transparency reflects the couple’s ongoing effort to balance openness with boundaries something that resonates with many parents navigating today’s digital world.
Their decision to prioritize safety, protect their kids’ privacy, and still share joy with their audience shows a thoughtful approach to influencer parenting one that could set an example for others.
And with Griffin and August about to take on the roles of big brothers again, the Howards’ household is bound to be even more full of love, laughter, and maybe a little chaos.
