YUNGBLUD DOMINATES THE VMAS WITH AN ELECTRIFYING TRIBUTE, BOLD FASHION AND A LOVE STORY REIGNITED - BWF Media TV

If you didn’t know who Yungblud was before the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, you do now. Because in one night, he made it impossible to forget him.

He didn’t just walk the red carpet, he exploded onto it. Shirtless, confident, and unapologetically himself. His coat was custom, designed by his girlfriend Jesse Jo Stark. His pants? Ultra-low-rise leather that once belonged to Iggy Pop. Around his neck? A gold cross given to him by the late Ozzy Osbourne.

It wasn’t just an outfit. It was a statement. A message. Yungblud came to the VMAs with fire in his heart and legacy on his shoulders.

Then came the performance.

Yungblud stepped onto that stage as an artist and as a fan. He was also a student, a friend, and a grieving soul. His tribute to Ozzy was nothing short of electric. He opened with “Crazy Train,” screaming it from his gut like he was chasing ghosts. Then came “Changes,” soft and aching. After that, he stood beside legends, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, and Nuno Bettencourt, for “Mama, I’m Coming Home.”

By the end, he shouted, “Ozzy forever!” and kissed the gold cross hanging from his neck. It wasn’t a show, it was love.

Pitchfork described the moment as “a powerful tribute from a rising icon to a fallen legend.” That’s exactly what it was. You could see the loss in his eyes and the gratitude in his voice.

But Yungblud didn’t stop there.

He made headlines again when Jesse Jo Stark called him her pick for People’s “Sexiest Man Alive.” Not because of his body or fame, but because of his mind, his heart, and how deeply he feels. She said what many fans already know, that behind the eyeliner and wild outfits is someone who feels everything fully.

That’s the magic of Yungblud. He lets himself feel, and he lets the world see it.

And that’s rare.

Every piece of him that night told a story. The cross around his neck. The pants that whispered punk history. The tattoos on his skin. The way he held the mic like it was the last thing keeping him together. It was raw, messy, human.

Page Six pointed out how bold those pants were. They described them as “dangerously low.” But even that felt like part of the story. Not shock for the sake of it, but rebellion rooted in emotion. Yungblud never pretends to be perfect. He just shows up exactly as he is.

And the world loves him for it.

Even in the chaos, there was softness. There was that moment with Jesse. The look they shared. The way he wore her design like armor. They’ve had their ups and downs, but at the VMAs, they looked like two people finding their way back.

In a night full of polished acts and commercial breaks, Yungblud reminded everyone what music is really about. Heart. Pain. Joy. Love. Memory.

You couldn’t fake what he gave that night. You couldn’t rehearse it. You had to feel it.

And if you didn’t cry, you at least got chills.

That’s why he’s trending. Not just because of what he wore, or who he’s dating, or even who he sang for. But because he made people feel something real. He reminded fans and maybe even himself, why he started doing this in the first place.

Yungblud didn’t come to the VMAs to play it safe. He came to make sure no one left the room the same.

And he did exactly that.
