A 15-year-old girl named Celeste Rivas has been officially identified as the decomposed body found in a Tesla registered to singer D4vd, authorities confirmed.
The discovery has sent shock through the community, pushing for answers amid confusion and fear.
On September 8, 2025, workers at a tow yard in Hollywood smelled a foul odor coming from a Tesla that had been impounded. Inside the car’s front trunk, wrapped in a bag, they found remains.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has declared that the body belongs to Celeste Rivas, who went missing in April 2024 from Lake Elsinore. Her cause of death is still under investigation; the “deferred” label means it will take more time for officials to determine exactly how she died.
According to NBC Los Angeles, the body had been inside the Tesla for about five days before discovery. The car was registered in Hempstead, Texas, to David Anthony Burke, also known as D4vd. D4vd has been informed of the situation and is fully cooperating with authorities, though no suspects or persons of interest have been named.
Celeste Rivas was described as about 5′2″ tall, with wavy black hair, and she had a tattoo on her right index finger reading “Shhh…”. At the time she was found, she was wearing a tube top, black leggings, stud earrings, and a yellow metal chain bracelet shaped like a “W.” These identifying details helped with the forensic identification.

The public reaction has been one of outrage, grief, and heavy speculation. People are asking how the body came to be in the car, who placed it there, and whether anyone will be held responsible. The fact that it was found in D4vd’s Tesla has only intensified the scrutiny on the singer, though so far, no evidence has connected him personally to the crime.
Major platforms like People and NBC Los Angeles reported the identification, confirming both the identity of the victim and that the investigation is ongoing.
For now, the cause of death remains unknown, and authorities are continuing forensic work. The discovery of Celeste Rivas’ body is a tragic resolution to her missing status, but many more questions remain, about what really happened, and who is responsible.
The harsh truth is that a girl is dead, and a case has come alive again. The pain of a family is raw. The justice system has a hard job ahead, and the public is watching.
